Trend Micro, a leader in internet security hosts their annual conference for IT leaders and senior personnel to discuss the latest trends and technologies in the cyber security landscape. CLOUDSEC 2019, their landmark event provides technical and practical knowledge to defend against cyber threats.
This year, Trend Micro focused on knowledge sharing as the key pillar on which their event was based. After working with Trend Micro for the project the previous year, we were quick to understand what was required and the main considerations to keep in mind to make it a success.
On sharing the creative deck and going through the proposal, Trend Micro was eager to start the project with us. We began with a keen focus on the attendee experience and built innovative elements accordingly.
The event app was a key feature of CLOUDSEC and was used to post updates, serve as a repository of information including speaker biographies and session details. The app was also used to share contact details easily and included a digital feedback form for attendees to rate individual sessions. This year, instead of an emcee, we used an AI-based voice to disseminate important information for the delegates and guide the show flow with introductions to each speaker.
Digital standees were used to inform attendees about the contest that were running during the event. The Solution Village which housed sponsor booths throughout the day was transformed into a carnival themed activity centre for a chosen group of delegates as well.
Overall, the event was a resounding success with over 850 CIOs, CISOs and Heads of IT who came from Mumbai, Pune and other states. The digital impact was also amplified through the use of a live social media wall which consolidated posts with #CLOUDSEC from Facebook and Instagram. There were 1,18,741 impressions across platforms. Attendees appreciated the event with 97% stating it was ‘Good’ or ‘Excellent’ and strong praise for the practical Hands-on-Lab challenge.
