Building a sense of pride amongst internal employees on a day of national importance

With a sense of pride and patriotism in their hearts, ICICI Bank decided to ramp up its celebrations for the Indian Republic Day. They decided to curate an end-to-end experience for more than 200 employees and their whole family on this occasion.
Understanding their line of thought, we conceptualised an experience that everyone in a family could enjoy. Starting with a traditional flag hoisting, the day went on to include entertaining performances and an awards felicitation along with fun activities for toddlers and little children.
Deciding to focus on visual design, we curated the entry experience so that employees would first be greeted at the entrance by decorative garlands and uniformed Jawans that captured the essence of tricolour flag. The first point of the agenda was the flag hoisting where everyone was called outside the premises to participate. This was followed by an awards ceremony felicitating employees who imbibed ICICI’s core value – ‘Saath Aapka’.
The festivities started soon after with song and dance performances from their internal employees. Each performance was further enhanced with dynamic lighting on stage. This also marked the first time children from the ICICI Foundation for Inclusive Growth participated in the festivities with traditional dance performances depicting unity across India.
Balloon artists, face painters and mimes were all called to give the children a more light-hearted experience they would enjoy. Simultaneously, we set up an exclusive art zone in the main lobby with easel stands for attendees to appreciate the talents of their fellow internal employees.
On the whole, our expertise as an event planner came to the forefront with execution being critical to the entire project. The employees truly appreciated spending time with their families and enjoyed the performances brought to life by their peers and their sister organisation – ICICI Foundation.
