Engineering an information-rich experience for senior IT executives two-years in a row.
This year, Cloudera changed the format of their annual conference – Cloudera Sessions – designed for senior IT executives and business leaders. As the event usually focuses on managing, optimising and analysing data, this year, they decided to split the speaker sessions into two tracks – Business and Technical.
The change in format was designed so that attendees could pick and choose to attend whichever sessions they were most interested in. Besides from this, Cloudera also wanted to include a CDP launch activity along with a demo of a new enterprise data cloud and a separate session discussing the business benefits of the product.
Having worked on Cloudera Sessions 2018, we were already familiar with the brand, their guidelines and visual identity. While working on the proposal we were quick to suggest ideas in line with their objective of becoming more sustainable and streamlined giveaways in line with their commitment to promote eco-friendliness among all stakeholders.
We set to work with the attendee journey in mind, taking into account every element that they would like to interact with. We designed the exhibitor booths with a focus on networking and engagement and organized several fun activities that attendees could participate in to win goodies from sponsors.
In addition, we also created a special Cloudera Cares booth adorned with a motif tree for delegates to attach their messages for sustainability. Every participant received a ‘seed bomb’, that could be planted anywhere from a backyard to a forest to increase environmental conservation. There were special contests also run parallel to the event including a grand lucky draw contest and tweet of the day contest.
The result was an overwhelming success with over 300 senior management personnel attending the landmark event and gaining invaluable insights from the leaders of major Indian companies. The contests being run helped the event hashtag – #ClouderaSessions – reach trending spot no. 4 on Twitter as per the Mumbai trends on the day. With both engaged and enlightened attendees as well as a satisfied customer, we were happy to conclude Cloudera Sessions 2019.
